We believed we could keep Classic stable while building Folder Fort 2.0. We underestimated the cost and complexity of maintaining two different platforms.
Running two systems splits the resources needed for security, reliability, support, and development. Rising storage, bandwidth, and server costs, automated abuse, and the limits of Classic’s legacy software make it too costly and complex to maintain long term.
We know this creates work, and we are sorry. We will give you free transfer access and support whether you choose 2.0 or another provider.

What happens if I do nothing?
Your Classic account closes November 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Download or move your files before then. Nothing transfers automatically.
How much credit do I get?
$40 USD per TB of Classic lifetime storage you own. For example, 1 TB gets $40 and 3 TB gets $120.
How do I get the extra $20?
Complete your move to 2.0 by September 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Signing up alone does not qualify.
How do I claim my credit and discount?
Use and verify your Classic email in 2.0. Once available, claim from the popup or account menu. Different email? Contact support.
When do my 30 free days start?
When you activate your eligible 2.0 plan. Your credit is saved for payments after the trial.
Does the 50% discount last?
Yes. earlymigration gives 50% off any Personal or Business plan, monthly or annual, including renewals.
How does my store credit work?
Credit applies to 2.0 payments after any applicable coupon or discount. Check your balance in Billing. Unused credit stays on your account; it is non-transferable and has no cash value.
What if I already have a 2.0 subscription?
Subscriptions existing as of September 17, 2026 are excluded. Your current benefits stay unchanged.
Offer terms
Eligibility. One claim per eligible Classic lifetime customer, matched to Classic account records. Subscriptions already on 2.0 as of September 17, 2026 are excluded. The offer ends November 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
Free trial. 30 days from plan activation, once per eligible customer. Credit is saved for after the trial.
Store credit. $40 USD per TB of purchased Classic lifetime capacity, counted once. For 2.0 payments after any applicable coupon or discount. Non-transferable; no cash value.
Early transfer bonus. $20 USD extra, once, for completing your move by September 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
Permanent discount. earlymigration gives 50% off Personal or Business, monthly or annual, including renewals. The percentage stays fixed; plan prices may change. Prices are USD; taxes are extra.
Transfer help. Free Classic FF Connect access and migration API credits through November 16, 2026, whichever provider you choose. Contact migration support for access.
